Hi, i've just bought a rear rack for the Bulldog and am having no luck fitting it. Does anyone else have the genuine Yamaha rack that could take a couple of quick pictures to show me which fixing points they are using?
Thanks, Rob.
Hi,

Yes, that helps. I understand from another forum that I will also need 2x8mmx15mm long bolts and 2x 6mmx25mm long bolts to fit. I'll be off to the hardware store today for those.
Thanks, Rob.
the rear s c r e w holes are original tapered UNF / NPT,the thread is narrower than the original M8
possibly recut,
M8 fits, but with some violence
The rear hols on my bike don't seem to have a thread. Do you need to tap the holes yourself? It's this hole i'm talking about flickr.com/photos/12378513@N06/56236266 ... hotostream
thanks, Rob
Normally welded nuts are in
from the inside frame
Unfortunately, your picture is to close and a bit dark.;)
give me a little time, I take pictures of my original rear rack,
do you have a picture of your rear rack?
Hi Rob,
the rear holes are original for M8 x 15 mm screws, but the threads are coated with lacquer.
As Tom says...M8 fits, but with some violence.
The front screws (the mounting screws of the mudguard) require a spacer with perhaps 10 or 15 mm.
Look at the photo below.
Cheers Buk
Thanks everyone. I have an M8 tap so i'll run that through the hole to clear the lacquer out.

Glad I had the tap though, would have been a real pain without it.
