Hi Folks
Crash bars or crash bungs what are your thoughts?
I have been looking at Hepco & Becker Crash bars has anyone fitted these to their bike? If so can you post a photo please? The image on their website is only a sketch so I can’t judge if they spoil the lines of the bike.
Cheers

I also got the B-G Racing ones. They are looking perfekt to the Bulldog Style.
I painted the Plastik Part in Frame Color.

Re: Crash bars or crash bungs
Thanks guys, I gather that you prefer crash bungs/pad to crash bars, why is this is it the looks or their effectiveness?

Re: Crash bars or crash bungs
I picked a set of crash bars for my wife's Bulldog some years ago. She had over-balanced on her bike a couple of times until I lowered the suspension 10mm front and rear (drop the fork legs in the yokes and new dog-bone links on the rear suspension) and scratched the engine cases and silencer. The crash bars saved any further damage, but the tank is very vulnerable in the event of a crash, so a friend turned up a pair of nylon crash bungs which should save the custom paintwork on her tank if she has another tumble.
The crash bars are easy to fit and look good on the bike, but the right one needs to be loosened and moved out of the way to replace the oil filter in the right engine case when a service is due. A bit of a nuisance, but better than damaged cases in the event of a spill.
