Finally got around to removing the AIS. Everyone seems to say it is easy and that it takes almost no time at all, but that just doesn't always convince me.
Guess what? It is easy and doesn't take 2 days. My only problem was finding plugs for the exhaust manifold ends (£3.99 each from B&Q forget plumbers merchants because 12mm is an odd ball size). Then having to seach my garage for suitable plugs for the little pipe to the carb and the big pipe to the air filter.
Put everything back (no bits left over so that was good too) and fired it up.
No popping at all, pick up seemed to be better so had a quick blast up the road old school style (no helmet, tee shirt and jeans).
Awsome!
Just a few little jobs to do now and the dog is ready for Germany, I can't wait.
It will be really great to see/hear other dogs and especially a mass ride out.
Cheers
Ade
