I am currently cycling through the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District. None of these thoughts is a relief for the crisis hat is the result of the f#ckin British weather!

Are you mad? This is not Holland we have hills, mad drivers, pot holes, rain, narrow lanes and big lorries. Oh and bikers that hate cyclists.

I thought you were on your Bulldog, now that's a much better idea and much easier.

Anyhow I've sorted out the weather for you, it will get warmer as the week goes on.

And there is this silly inclination to ride at the left side of the road! Upon asking why, all say this is the right side!

I thought you were on your Bulldog, now that's a much better idea and much easier.

In September I'll be back on my Bulldog. For about a week. Newcastle, SW of Scotland, Loughborough, back to Newcastle. Hope the weather will be better!

If you are around Sheffield on September 21st call in at the Victoria Quays Marina around 11am because I am having my new 57 foot boat named and a bit of a ceremony (drinks and eats).

Don't forget to mention the lack of tarmac on quite some of the routes that are recommended for cyclists!
